4-24-02: We were walking through the Santa Anita Mall [in nearby Arcadia,CA], and noticed that The Disney Store was closed. Out front, a sign read

'Please join us April 22, 2002 for the re-opening of Disney PLAY'

Curious about the difference between a Disney Store and Disney Play, Dianne, Megan and I checked it out.

The main entrance is pretty much unchanged
Noticed that the window display with all the Disney characters had been removed. Merchandise is now featured..
The store is now divided into more distinct sections, with what seemed like fewer items for sale. Toy Story on the left - Princesses on the right.
