Father's
Day - June 15, 2003
At what
point does a hobby become a compulsion? When is a collection
an obsession? These questions came to mind when we visited
The Bunny Museum, a collection of all things wabbit nestled
within the confines of a cozy home in Pasadena. No kidding.
We've
lived in Pasadena for about 5 years now and have walked
by this house many times. The 15-foot high bunny on roller
skates, [above] a cast off from a Rose Parade float,
stands in the front yard and is hard to miss. Once
we found out what it was, we put it on our 'to do' list.
We've
had more inquiries from our readers about this museum than
any other.
And
it's really here. Stuffed animals, toys, ceramic statues,
trinkets, tchotchkes, and real live bunnies, all on display
in the home of Steve Lubanski and Candace Frazee. Or rather,
their home is contained within this collection of bunny
stuff.
Is it
a museum? A collection? Or a hobby gone out of control?
Come on we'll show you what we saw.
